CNA Courses

Students gain proficiency in basic resident care skills, beginning infection control, communication and interpersonal skills through classroom participation, skills practice and supervised clinical experience. Students prepare to take the exam for CNA as an integral part of this course. Nurse aides must be certified to work in healthcare facilities in Wyoming, and this course is designed to meet OBRA guidelines and follows state-approved curriculum. A clinical rotation will be scheduled with the instructor at a local nursing home facility.

How much does the CNA class cost?

The CNA class costs $500.00 and is non refundable.  This does not include the State exam fee of $115.00 or the Wyoming CNA Certification fee of $145.00.

How long is the CNA class?

The CNA class is 3 (three) weeks in length.  It is Monday-Friday from 8AM – 4PM and consists of 2 (two) weeks of classroom work and at least 16 hours of clinicals during week 3 (three) at a local facility (transportation is not provided).

Who is eligible to be a CNA in Wyoming?

Anyone of eligible working age in the State of Wyoming and that answers No to all the History questions on the Application.  Answering Yes to any of the questions in the History section of the Application will require you to contact the Wyoming State Board of Nursing directly to discuss your circumstances.

Failure to answer the History questions honestly will be grounds for immediate dismissal.

How do I enroll in the CNA class?

Enrollment in the CNA class requires the students be eligible for employment as a CNA in Wyoming, a completed and submitted Application, Cover Letter, Student Agreement and a non-refundable fee of $500.00.  All 4 (four) requirements must be met to be considered for the class.

Returned documents are not a guaranteed admission into the program.

MANDATORY REGISTRATION DATES are referenced in the class schedule and are between the hours of 1-3PM.  Please bring social security card and drivers license, or passport, or birth certificate.
